Getting into the feature
The boat scatter is what unlocks free games: 3 boats on screen award 10 free games, 4 boats award 15, and 5 boats award 20. There's no scatter pay beyond triggering the feature – the reward is the spins themselves.
Once you're in, the fisherman wild appears for the first time. He's absent from the base game entirely, which is why the feature feels like a different slot the moment it starts.
What the fisherman does
Every fish left on the grid during free games carries a cash tag worth 20, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 or 500. On any spin where a fisherman lands in view, he collects the value of every tagged fish showing at that moment, on top of substituting for other symbols in line wins.
The fisherman himself also pays directly: 2 on screen is worth 10, 3 is worth 100, 4 is worth 500, and 5 is worth 5,000.
What doesn't happen
Free games cannot retrigger. Land more boats mid-feature and nothing extends the round – the 10, 15 or 20 spins you started with are what you get, played at the stake that triggered them, with no further deduction from your balance.
How wins are worked out
Wins are read left to right on consecutive reels starting from the far-left reel. Only the highest-paying combination on each line counts, and wins across your different active lines are simply added together for the total.

Reading a payline correctly
Direction and count
Every active payline is read left to right, checking consecutive reels starting from the far-left reel. A win needs matching symbols to appear in that unbroken run from reel one onward.
Highest wins, no stacking per line
If a line qualifies for more than one combination, only the single highest-paying result on that line is paid. What does add up is your total: every winning line pays out, and those amounts are combined for the round's result.
